Specialty Pharmacy Manager (US, Remote)

Location: Remote position but candidates will ideally live in Boston or EST time zone.

Position Summary: This is a full-time position within our Market Access department working 9am – 5pm.

Ready to take the lead in specialty pharmacy? We’re recruiting for a Speciality Pharmacy Manager to lead on impactful projects, drive contract excellence, and strengthen key partnerships with our speciality pharmacies. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance with high standards and work closely with our Associate Director of Specialty Distribution to deliver meaningful results and long-term value.

You’ll collaborate closely with various other departments in the business including, Cycle Vita (patient support hub), Supply chain, Sales, Finance and various other departments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry and a passion in supporting patients within the rare disease space.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our specialty pharmacy partners.
  • Act as the primary contact for network operations, performance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor partner performance with scorecards, KPIs and resolve issues as and when needed.

Contract Management

  • Lead the full lifecycle of specialty pharmacy contracts, including renewals, amendments, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manage dispute resolution processes.

Strategy & Performance

  • Analyse pharmacy network performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Monitor industry trends and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Provide regular reports and dashboards on partner performance, compliance, and financial impact.
  • Implement corrective action plans to address underperformance.

Projects & Operations

  • Lead specialty pharmacy projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Support training and development of speciality pharmacy processes and procedures.
  • Drive process improvements, best practices, and continuous efficiency initiatives.

 

The following skills and experience will be important in helping to set you up to succeed and thrive in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in specialty pharmacy or contract management.
  • Proven ability to manage pharmacy partnerships and contracts, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of specialty pharmacy operations, compliance, and business models.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Direct experience with specialty pharmacy networks, particularly in rare disease or specialty markets.
  • Familiarity with contract management systems, CRM, or pharmacy management platforms.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare legislation impacting specialty pharmacy.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
