ACCOUNTABILITIES

Informatics Practice:
Order set management:
Promotes effective communication concerning medication use applications.
Ensures pharmacy systems are compliant with and support regulatory guidelines.
Participates in research activities related to the advancement of pharmaceutical care.
Assists pharmacy leadership in the advancement of pharmacy automation and technology.
Leadership/Professional Practice:
Serves as an internal and external liaison for the goals and vision of the Department of Pharmaceutical services.
Designs and implements quality improvement changes to the organization’s medication‐use system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences or PharmD Degree
Skills: Capable of quickly absorbing knowledge of assigned clinical software applications and healthcare operations.
Years of Experience: 2 years of acute care or retail pharmacy experience.
License: Ohio or Michigan Board of Pharmacy
Certification: Informaticists supporting Epic will have or obtain Epic Certification in their primary application within three months of completing the first Epic class. Obtaining and maintenance of Epic Certification in the primary application is a mandatory job requirement. Obtaining and maintenance of a secondary or supporting Epic Certification will be at the discretion of leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Skills: IT background, Effective oral, written communication, and follow-up skills. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Task management and problem-solving skills expected. Project management and leadership experience desired. Requires strong self-motivation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.
Years of Experience: 3-5 years of acute care or retail experience.
