The Pharmacist Informaticist - Ambulatory Pharmacy will serve as a critical member of the Ambulatory Clinical Support Team for Pharmacy, providing technical expertise and operational support for Epic-based applications. This role ensures seamless integration of clinical workflows with technology solutions, driving efficiency, compliance, and measurable outcomes across ambulatory care settings.
Education
Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)
Epic Willow Inventory, Epic Willow Inpatient, Epic Willow Ambulatory certification (preferred)
Experience
2 Years of Pharmacist experience in a Hospital or Clinical Setting (required)
Experience in one of the following areas is required: Technical Expertise in Epic, Developing projects with IT teams, Hospital Protocol Development, Clinical Informatics.
Proficiency in using SQL for reporting and data analysis; experience with HL7 standards and system integration required.
Hands-on experience in Epic Willow Build, including configuration and maintenance of Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, and/or Willow Inventory modules.
Proven ability to analyze and optimize pharmacy workflows using Epic tools to improve patient safety, medication management, and operational efficiency.
Familiarity with Epic upgrade cycles, validation, and testing processes for pharmacy modules.
