Part‑Time Remote Staff Pharmacist
Location: Remote, anywhere within the US.
Schedule: Part‑time — may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekend shifts. Regular schedule includes 3-4 days every other week from 4PM-12AM (shift times vary).
Licensure Requirements: Active pharmacist license required in CO or NM. Must also be willing to obtain MT, NV and WY.
About the Role
Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across
several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders,
support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment.
What You’ll Do
Telepharmacy Services
● Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification.
● Provide patient counseling when needed.
● Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).
Clinical Support
● Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers.
● Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments),
interactions, and compatibilities.
● Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing
patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairment.
● Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, and more.
Operational Excellence
● Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly.
● Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.
● Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
Technical & Professional Skills
● Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms.
● Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit.
● Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access.
Training & Performance
● Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates).
● Meet productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
● Bachelors in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
● At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
● Active and in good standing state pharmacist license required in CO or NM
● Additional state licenses preferred (CO, MT, NM, NV, WY)
● Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems
● Ability to work part‑time hours that may include evenings, overnights, and/or
weekends
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
