Role Overview
Medexus is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team. The MSL will serve as a scientific expert and trusted advisor, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers (HCPs), payors, and advocacy organizations to exchange clinical and research insights related to Medexus products. This individual will play a critical role in KOL engagement, clinical insights generation, investigator-initiated trials, medical education, and cross-functional collaboration. This position requires deep therapeutic expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to drive scientific engagement and support Medexus' business objectives. The MSL plays a critical role in introducing and managing Medexus’ presence in the hematology/bone marrow transplant (BMT) space in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary field-based subject matter expert for Medexus Medical Affairs supporting hematology/oncology launch.
- Identify, establish, and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with national and regional KOLs, clinical investigators, and centers of excellence (academic, community, and managed care).
- Develop and execute thought leader engagement and advocacy plans.
- Facilitate investigator-initiated trial (IIT) submissions, collaborative research inquiries, and provide guidance on publications and congress presentations.
- Create and deliver medical affairs content: scientific slide decks, standard response letters (SRLs), FAQs, medical training materials.
- Support medical education programs, advisory boards, symposia, and speaker training.
- Contribute scientific expertise to market access initiatives, payer interactions, and reimbursement discussions.
- Attend and represent Medexus at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and professional society meetings; capture and share actionable insights.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to medical inquiries in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned, compliant medical strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA, or DO).
- 3+ years of oncology MSL experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry; prior experience in malignant hematology or bone marrow transplant (BMT) is preferred.
- Proven expertise in KOL engagement, scientific exchange, and clinical data interpretation.
- Experience with investigator-initiated trials, congress presentations, and publication planning.
- Strong ability to create and deliver scientific presentations for diverse audiences (internal and external).
- Knowledge of medical affairs processes, regulatory compliance (GCP, FDA/EMA), pharmacovigilance, and safety reporting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen.

Compensation Range: $170,000 - $210,000
