Part‑Time Remote Staff Pharmacist
Location: Remote, anywhere within the US
Schedule: Part‑time — may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekend shifts.
Current needs are 5PM-11PM CST and/or 7PM-1AM CST with a minimum of 2-4 shifts every 2 weeks. Must be able to work every other weekend. Other shifts may be available.
Licensure Requirements: Active OK or AK pharmacist license required; NC, KY, TN, GA preferred. Must be willing to obtain other state licenses due to business needs.
About the Role
Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment.
What You’ll Do
Telepharmacy Services
Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification.
Provide patient counseling when needed.
Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).
Clinical Support
Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers.
Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities.
Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV, and those with renal/hepatic impairment.
Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more.
Operational Excellence
Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
Technical & Professional Skills
Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms.
Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit.
Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access.
Training & Performance
Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates).
Meet productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
Degree in Pharmacy (B.S in Pharmacy or PharmD.)
2+ years’ experience in a hospital inpatient setting preferred
Valid Texas Pharmacist license issued by the governing State Board of Pharmacy, NC, KY, TN, GA preferred. Additional licensure will be requested in the future coverage needs.
High speed internet service through a cable or fiber provider (satellite is not supported)
Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems
Ability to work part‑time hours that may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekends
Effective communications skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated customer service skills
Proficiency with office technology tools, to include MS Office 2000 or later (esp. Outlook, Excel, and Word), Google Drive, internet, and email
