**POSITION IS A TIME-LIMITED, GRANT FUNDED FULL-TIME UNTIL – DECEMBER 2035**
Advancing innovation in cell and gene therapy through clinical and operational expertise.
Position is housed within the Pharmacy and Ancillary Services Business Unit and reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy. The Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Clinical Pharmacist serves as a subject matter expert in implementing and managing the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) CGT Access Model and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) agreements. The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, negotiating, executing, and monitoring agreements while ensuring alignment with federal requirements and program standards.
The CGT Clinical Pharmacist also provides technical and clinical expertise to support the Department’s operations, including maintaining the NC Select Drug List, monitoring pending and paid CGT claims, and reconciling rebate receipts tied to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) pilot. The role requires tracking beneficiary movement, evaluating outcomes performance, and preparing reports for CMS. In addition, the pharmacist partners with stakeholders to address program requirements, supports technology enhancements to ensure accurate claims and rebate processing, and represents the Department in discussions and presentations related to the CGT pilot.
